Once again this year, Malmedie participated in the Annual General Meeting of PEMA (Port Equipment Manufacturers Association) to engage with industry experts on the latest developments and technical challenges in the port and terminal sector.
A key focus of the event was once again the development of white papers. These practical and clearly structured documents aim to consolidate industry knowledge and make best practices accessible to a broad professional audience. In this context, Malmedie has already actively contributed its expertise several times within the Design & Infrastructure Committee.
In addition to PEMA’s organizational matters, the program also featured a range of exciting technical presentations. Particularly noteworthy was a presentation on firefighting for battery fires—an increasingly important topic in light of the ongoing electrification of port and cargo handling processes.
Malmedie values the open and forward-looking dialogue within PEMA and looks forward to continued collaboration through technical committees, white papers, and new innovation initiatives for the industry.
